Travel And ACCOMMODATION

Travel and lodging are arranged privately by each participant. The sessions will be at 150 West 83rd Street on October 3rd & 4th, 2018.

 

Getting to Manhattan

When making travel arrangements, please take into consideration that the Partnership sessions will be a full day from approximately 8:30am - 5:30pm on Wednesday and 8:30am - 4:00pm on Thursday. 

Most guests fly into John F. Kennedy International (JFK), LaGuardia (LGA) or Newark (EWR) airports. Cabs from LGA will be ~$60 and 30 to 45 minute ride. A cab from JFK and Newark will be ~$95 and take about 45 minutes. You can also take public transport from each airport but you'll need to transfer a couple of times. You can also use Lyft, Uber, Juno or Via instead of cabs. There are designated pick-up areas for these apps at LGA and JFK. 

 
 

Session Schedule

CTC will host up to four members of your leadership team in New York City for two training sessions. Faculty includes Tim Keller, CTC & Redeemer staff, and key leaders from the CTC network. The program also includes two virtual sessions.

  • Ministry Assessment & Contextualization Overview (NYC, Oct 3-4, 2018)
  • Virtual Session #1 (January 31st, 2019  2:00 pm – 5:00 pm)
  • Virtual Session #2 (April 11th, 2019  2:00 pm – 5:00 pm)
  • Center Church Ministry Action Plan (NYC, May 8-9, 2019)

 

You will create a three-part action plan

  1. Contextualization profile of the community and culture your church is facing
  2. Proposed updates to your church’s philosophy of ministry
  3. Next steps for engagement with church leadership
