I can’t believe it has been a year since I had the privilege of becoming CEO at Redeemer City to City (CTC). Wow—what a year for both Lisa and me as we transitioned to New York City and are now fully immersed in the beautiful tapestry that God is weaving through this ministry around the world. In some ways, I feel the joy of what David expressed in Psalm 34:1 when he wrote, “I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.”
As we come alongside those who have a heart for seeing their cities renewed by the gospel, I feel an intense gratitude for so many things, including you.
The Lord worked through CTC and our affiliates in 2017, and as a result, leaders are being equipped to start churches. More than that, our efforts help support an array of organizations, initiatives and networks that work in tandem with a core of fruitful, reproducing churches.
After almost 20 years of developing training resources and connecting leaders and pastors around the world, CTC is at a pivotal point. If God graciously opens the doors, CTC is uniquely positioned to help start thousands of new churches and strengthen ministries in dozens of global cities. Along with many coming to Jesus, this can lead to a gospel movement where cities flourish and experience shalom.
CTC has always been about this movement—we believe if a fresh vision for gospel renewal in cities captures people around the world, and the Holy Spirit breathes on the work, extraordinary things will happen.
I was moved recently by a quote from U.S. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who led the country through the Depression, World War II and an astounding number of changes. FDR once said, “To reach a port, we must set sail. Sail, not tie at anchor. Sail, not drift.” This is a time to move forward. I hope you will come along with us on this journey by praying for a global movement of the gospel and partnering financially. Thank you for participating with us in this vision.
May the Lord bless you,
Chief Executive Officer, Redeemer City to City
