Incubator Borough Collectives combines elements of City to City’s proven church planting curriculum with new insights from leaders who understand the nuances of ministry in New York’s boroughs. The result is a 2-3 year program that provides practical tools for starting and growing a congregation that is grounded in the gospel and rooted in its neighborhood.

  • A strong sense of calling to church planting in NYC

  • Proven character and integrity

  • Ministry experience

  • Affiliation with a denomination, church planting network, or sending church


For the first year of the program, Borough Collectives meet two weeknights per month. Participants then complete the program at their own pace over the next 1-2 years by attending a series of Master Classes held on Saturdays. 


Capacity and locations

Approximately 15 planters are selected for each cohort. Pastors of existing churches may also be eligible. 

In Fall 2019, new cohorts will begin in Brooklyn, the Bronx, New Jersey. Also a NEW Queens cohort (Spanish-speaking).
