Project Manager, Community Engagement
Al Santino was born and raised in New York City and has been serving in community development ministries since 1986.
He has worked for many ministry organizations including Here’s Life New York, the inner city arm of Campus Crusade for Christ, Christian Reformed World Relief Committee and Open Door Fellowship. He also founded Help House, a residential program for men recovering from substance abuse, homelessness and prison consequences, and Bronx Christian Study Center, which provided a biblical curriculum as well as remedial education for adults.
Along with his role at City to City, Al is also serving the Washington Heights/Inwood community through his role as Director of the Pathways Mentorship Program and Coordinator of Viva Uptown Inc., a recently organized church-based collaborative.
He obtained a Doctor of Ministry from Erskine Theological Seminary in May, 2010. Al and his wife Haydee have a 16 year old son Lorenzo.
